Teacup Tuesday

Welcome to another Teacup Tuesday! A special thank you to our hosts Martha at http://www.marthasfavorites.com/2011/02/collecting-tea-cups-and-everything-else.html, and Sandi at http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.com/2011/02/tea-time-tuesday_28.html These are lovely tulips I picked up at my supermarket! I just love pink flowers! A sure sign that spring is almost here!

Today's teacup I would like to share with you is from Royal Albert called "Serina". This reminds me so much of spring with all the pretty flowers in it. The little bear is from the Bearington Collection. She is ready for spring too, with her little pink sweater.

Now, what goes with a nice cup of tea, on a cold rainy day such as today? Almond pound cake with strawberries on top, dusted with a little powdered sugar for perfect sweetness.

Love the pretty gold edging around the saucer.

The handle is curved so dainty. Just love this cup!

Well, hope you enjoyed your visit. Please visit Martha to see more lovely tea things! Thanks for coming by!

Afternoon Tea on a Wintry Day

I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit. I am joining in on Martha's teatime Tuesdays http://www.marthasfavorites.com/2011/02/collecting-tea-cups-and-everything-else.html. Thanks so much to our dear host Martha for putting this together for us each week.I have set the table special for myself to enjoy my tea on this cold wintry day. I am enjoying Celestial Seasons herbal tea, called Sleepytime, and a cranberry lemon scone, with raspberrry jam. Even though it is sleepytime, I enjoy the taste anytime of day! It's so nice to set a pretty setting to treat yourself.

I love roses! Can you tell? Mostly pale pinks, but I like white ones too. These I have sitting in a crystal creamer.

A lovely vintage hankie I purchased at an antique shop, will be my napkin. I think these are so pretty used as napkins.

I love this pretty teacup with the dainty roses on it. It is made in Germany, but has no other name on it. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks for coming by, and fix yourself a nice cup of tea, and hop over to Martha's for more pretty teacups. I'm also joining in on Lady Katherine's teatime Tuesday over at http://ladykatherineteaparlor.blogspot.com/2011/02/simple-white-tea.html. thanks Miss Katherine.

Hello everyone! Welcome to another fun Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/02/pink-saturday-february-19-2011.html A sweet thank you to Beverly! Today I am sharing some random pinks. I am so in the mood for some pretty pink with all of this snow and bad weather we are having here on the East coast. Aren't these hydrangeas just gorgeous in this pretty vignette? This was on some one's blog, but I don't remember who. Just love it!! *Update* I found out who this lovely picture belongs to! Susan of http://evelynandrose.blogspot.com/. thanks susan for letting me know! Please go visit Susan's lovely blog!

How about a pretty bleeding heart.

This sweet little pin cushion is from Lynn over at Teacup Stitches. She is a doll, please go visit her if you get a chance. She is having a fabulous giveaway!

Love this pretty pink journal too! Made from a black composition book.

Lastly, are some pretty pink and white roses in my new pitcher that I purchased in Home Goods the other day! My sweet friend Shari over at http://mycottageofbliss.blogspot.com/ sent me a white pitcher alert! She knew I was looking for one, and spotted several at Home Goods, and alerted me right away! Thanks Shari! I actually picked up two! Such a pretty hobnail pitcher, I love it! (click on any picture to enlarge)

A pretty teacup to sit next to the rest of my pretties! Thanks for coming by for a visit, and be sure to go and visit Beverly for some more sweet pinks from all of our bloggy friends!

Pink Saturday and Valentines Day

Hello, and welcome to another fun Pink Saturday party, hosted by Suzanne of http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/02/valentines-pink-saturday-february-12-2011.html. This week we also get to show anything for Valentines Day too! Thanks Suzanne for this fun party! What would Valentines day be without roses? Of course it is pink ones for me! Oh, and the pretty box of chocolates! Help yourself to one!

Don't these look yummy?

I love this gorgeous valentine that I purchased from e-bay! Soooo romantic!

Here is a little vignette on my coffee table. A cottage white birdhouse, and a bird that I made. (click on any picture to enlarge). She is ready with things to make her nest.

Some little hearts that I made out of felt. The white one was bought. I did a blanket stitch on the edges, and adorned them with little beads, flowers, pearls, and sequins. I made a few french knots too. I planned on making more, but didn't have time.

I just love this pretty teacup filled with roses!!

The bears love to have a tea party! They are dressed and ready to party! They saw I bought cupcakes, and they wanted one. I love the little tatted doily on the table that my mother-in-law made. The longer one is a hanky.

These are pretty boxes I picked up at Michael's. They are made to look like books. The top just flips open. Perfect for your remote.

Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit. Please don't forget to visit Suzanne for more pink fun! Thanks for coming by! I am also linking up with Laurie of http://bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com/2011/02/celebrating-luv.html for a Valentine party! Thanks so much Laurie!

Creating on a Snowy Day

For all of you that have been dealing with snow like this, I am right there with you! I live in central NJ, and lately we have been getting hit with one storm after another. So what's a girl to do when you are snowed in? I was in the mood to make one of these birds after I saw one over at http://bluebirdroses.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2011-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&updated-max=2012-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=11 I searched for a pattern on the web, and found this one. She is ready to make her nest. Please go visit Becca, she is such a sweetheart. I love reading her blog, and she gives me inspiration. I want to make another one of these, but next time I think I will make her a little fatter. Please click on pictures to enlarge. I hope you can get some inspiration from reading blogs, and create something fun while we wait patiently for spring! Thanks for coming by!

I'm joining in the Show and Tell Friday party over at Cindy's from http://romantichome.blogspot.com/2011/02/show-and-tell-friday.html Please stop over to see some more fun stuff!
