Fun Garden Animals

Hello everyone! Hope you are staying cool! It is 98 and humid, here in central NJ. Yikes! A good day to stay in and craft. I had seen these at a garden center, and thought they looked easy enough to make. Since I already do painting on wood, it seemed easy enough. They are made from paver stones, and balsa wood for the cutouts. Grandson and I are having fun making them. So far, we have almost completed the dog, and lady bug. Instead of the cow, I will be making a dalmation. Since hubby is a fireman, we have to have one of those! I googled paver pals, and came up with these. They have them for all seasons, and even patriotic ones. I lovethe scarecrow too! If you google them, they have the patterns for sale. I'm just winging it with the ones I am making. Before I painted them, I used a basement type of sealer on them. Then just used regular craft paint. I will seal them with a UV type of sealer though. If you have any questions, let me know.

Hello Blogerettes! Wow, I can't believe it's been this long since I posted. Time flies when you are having fun! I found these over at http://texascottage.blogspot.com/2011/08/smore-cups.html The Texas Cottage Blogspot. They are smores made in mini cupcake pans! Don't they look delish? Perfect for a picnic, and great to do with the kids! I will definitely be making these with my grandson. Hop over to the above blog for the recipe!
