Teacup Tuesday

Hello, and welcome to our Teacup Party, hosted by Martha of http://www.marthasfavorites.com/2010/05/tea-cup-parties-for-two-days.html. Thank you Martha for hosting this fun party for us! Here is some of my collection of teacups under one of my favorite cloches! I found this at Home Goods. I love it on this pretty pink cake/cookie stand. You can click on any picture to make it larger. The first teacup is from Germany, I can't make out the name. The second is Royal Albert, and the third is chintz, from Royal Winton. In this picture is some of my vintage linens and laces I displayed in this pretty rack. The cherub holder I found at an antique shop, and it says Relpo on the bottom with a number. I love it's soft creamy white color.

Here is my Lady Carlyle cup from Royal Albert. I just love this cup. I found a whole set of cups, saucers, and dinner plates at Home Goods. The pretty rose on the saucer I made from wired ribbon. I plan on using them on some teacup pincushions in the future. The beautiful white hankie says Mother on it, and was a gift from daughter for Mother's Day, along with the little dish and tiny spoon beside it. It is from Limoges, and I thought it would be perfect for some sweet and low. The little spoon with the teacup on it, I purchased from e-bay.

I just love this little frozen charlotte doll. I had seen them around blogland, and did some searching on e-bay, and finally found one. She is sitting in this pretty teacup from Royal Albert called "Serena".

I almost flipped when I found these nylon gloves in an antique shop for $6. The softest shade of pink, and perfect to wear to a tea party.

Please help yourself to a little chenile cupcake when you leave. They are adorable, and have no calories! Thank you so much for visiting, and please check out the other participants for more pretty tea things.

Hi, Debbie,
Oh my goodness, I am oohing and aaahing over everything you have shown. I love the idea of the cups stacked under a cloche. I am going to have to get to a Home Goods store in Austin. I hardly ever see any cloches in my town. I love the chenille cupcakes, too. And no calories, yea!! Thank you for your visit and for your kind comments always. Sending lots of love your way~ Vicki

OH, what pretty china. Pink roses and teacups! sigh! A few of my favorite things... This is a very pretty post!

Thank you for spending time with me in the sunny spot! And, oh, oops... I've been having so much fun looking at your pretty things that I forgot what you asked me about. Bunnies! I remember that much. Okay, little honey colored bunny is a Holland lop - I think dwarf. You know when you've got the sweetest bunny in the world when you spend an hour next to the pet store pen TRYING to resist temptation and the same leetle wee rabbit (as Mr. Mcgregor says) keeps coming up to you to say hello! This one is turning out to be a boy which can get rough, but, happily, not with this one. There is very interesting info on the internet about bunny behaviour that was very enlightening for me. You might check it out. You'll probably find that what you thought they were "saying" to you was really what they were saying to you. =]

Well, again, thanks for your kind words and for following along! A new friend!

Love, katy Noelle

I love the stacked tea cups and of course you know how much I love the pink cake plate, since I have one too. ;) The Lady Carlyle pattern in pink seems less common than the blue. I saw the blue in our HomeGoods and Marshalls but not the pink or I would have been very tempted to buy one. It's such a pretty pattern.

Miss you!

Hello, Debbie!
Everything is so pretty, but I am especially taken with those vintage gloves! Are they elbow length? I am searching for a similar pair to wear to a timewarp prom next spring. The ones you found are so soft and delicate!
Thanks for stopping by and for the info on the "whooziwhatzit". I was considering photographing all the ideas (so far we have toaster cover and bird cage cover).... hmmm, but now curler cover? Do I want to be seen on my blog with curlers and a large "doily" on my head? LOL Yep, might be fun!
:)
