Fun Garden Animals

Hello everyone! Hope you are staying cool! It is 98 and humid, here in central NJ. Yikes! A good day to stay in and craft. I had seen these at a garden center, and thought they looked easy enough to make. Since I already do painting on wood, it seemed easy enough. They are made from paver stones, and balsa wood for the cutouts. Grandson and I are having fun making them. So far, we have almost completed the dog, and lady bug. Instead of the cow, I will be making a dalmation. Since hubby is a fireman, we have to have one of those! I googled paver pals, and came up with these. They have them for all seasons, and even patriotic ones. I lovethe scarecrow too! If you google them, they have the patterns for sale. I'm just winging it with the ones I am making. Before I painted them, I used a basement type of sealer on them. Then just used regular craft paint. I will seal them with a UV type of sealer though. If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks for coming by for a visit!

They are so cute. It's good to stay out of the heat and make stuff, it's brutal out there. Thanks for visiting!

I haven't seen these before but they are so creative and cute. I guess your imagination could run wild thinking of little characters to make. Try to stay cool! -------- Shannon
