Nifty Thrifty Tuesday/Vintage Things Thursday

Hi there! Welcome to Nifty Thrifty Tuesday hosted by Linda of http://linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com/2010/08/nifty-thrifty-tuesdays-no24.html and Vintage Things Thursday hosted by Suzanne at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/search/label/Vintage%20Thingies%20Thursdays The first item I would like to share, is a vintage picnic basket! I have wanted one for quite some time, and finally found one on an antique hunt with some friends. It was $28, and in good condition. I plan on painting it pink, and displaying vintage linens in it.

This is an antique baby scale. The graphics on it are really nice and colorful. It is in great condition with no rust. It's missing it's top, but I think it's still really cool!

Here is a vintage baby dress from the 50's, I picked up at a church bazaar. I had posted this last week for pink Saturday also. It has sweet little flocked flowers on it, and it's original hang tag. I plan on hanging it on my bedroom wall, with other little vintage white dresses. (Thanks hubby) lol!

These items are from my local Goodwill, all at 25% off. Cute pair of old Navy shorts for grandson,

a bag of vintage white buttons, (YEY), and old ball jar, and the sweetest Napco baby planter.

I have been having good luck lately at antique, and thrift stores. Thanks for coming by to visit.

I am also joining in on:

Thanks ladies!

That picnic basket is beautiful...and will be even more so when you paint it pink. I'm a bit envious, I must admit, as I have been looking for a vintage picnic basket for quite awhile now. No luck so far.

That baby dress is adorable.

Have a lovely day,
Patti

I gave away a picnic basket like that a couple of years ago - I guess I should have sold it. The scale is awesome.

Hi Debbie...

Ohhh...I love the vintage picnic basket! I think it'll look fabulous painted pink! You know, I have one almost identical. It belonged to my grandparents. I have it stored away...I never thought about using it to store linens! I'm going to get it out and use it! Thanks for the fabulous idea! Love all of your treasure finds, my friend! That little pink dress is adorable and sooo very beautiful!!! I'm sure that it will look gorgeous in your bedroom!

Thank you for visiting me yesterday, Debbie! I so enjoy it when you stop by.

My Adrie girl (that is what I call her even though her name is Adrienne) IS both beautiful on the outside but you would NEVER know she ever gave her looks a second thought if you met her in person. She is the kindest person I know and gets her sweet outlook on life from her father. They are VERY much alike. There are times I think she looks like me when I was her age but then she has this HUGE MANE OF HAIR ( I didn't get that) and this creamy white skin (didn't get that either) and the most lovely disposition ever (nope...don't have that quality which sometimes bumms me out!). All in all I think she takes mostly after her daddy (who adores her by the way) and that makes me very, very happy. Thank you for the nice compliments...

Now...I love your basket (so would have snagged that) and that baby scale is 2die4. LOVE IT!

Thanks for sharing with us my friend. It's always fun to stop by and see what you are up to.

Have a WONDERFUL day~

Love to you~
