Welcome Fall

Hello, and happy first day of fall!! Yippie!! Fall is one of my favorite seasons! I love the cool crisp air, and the changing of the leaves, the smell of burning fireplaces, ummmmmm.......... Now, I am a pink loving girl, but I do like the traditional colors of fall. Although I can't incorporate a lot of the fall colors inside my home, I can do so outside. I have a little area of my dining room, that I also can put fall colors. I am finding sooo many people are using more whites, creams, and browns in their fall decor. I love that too!

I just love how this gal decorated her corn stalks with pretty flowers.

This creative blogger over at http://hummadeedledee.blogspot.com/2011/09/new-sweet-sweater-pumpkin-tutorial.html made these adorable pumpkins out of sweaters. I just love all the textures she used. She has a tutorial on how she made them. I am on the hunt now for some cheap sweaters. Very sweet Deb!

Some people are getting creative with paint. Love these pumpkins painted in gold and copper!

I just love these romantic looking luminary jars. Check out how to make them herehttp://craftsbyamanda.com/2011/01/burlap-doily-luminaries-rustic-meets.html

Don't these looks so romantic all lit up? I can imagine these on a coffee table or mantle with fall decor around them. So pretty, cozy and romantic!

Love these containers all decked out with fall decor too! So easy. Just put your candle in a jar, and fill the space around it with acorns, nuts, or whatever your heart desires.

Love this too!

I am loving these french inspired pumpkins. Dang I can't remember where I saw them. They are decoupaged french pages on a foam pumpkins! I love them!

Loving all these carved pumpkins all lit up!

These cute Halloween decorations are from Kim over at http://kenward.blogspot.com/ The faces on the cats are a download from Martha Stewarts. Kim has the page on her site. I love how Kim did her own design on wooden spools. I want to make some of these chenile characters, but have to order the bumpy chenile stems. They are hard to find.

Kim made these from peat pots, and images from old cards. So cute!

How cute it this little cat on a domino? Love how she decorated them too. I found 2 sets of dominos at my thrift store this week for .75, so I plan on making some of them. As soon as fall arrives so do my crafting ideas.

Loving this pretty front porch

This picture came out way smaller than I expected, but I am not going to mess with it. I had so many problems with my blogger last week, and a sweet blog friend fixed it for me! I can't believe the generosity of people out there in blogland.

I will finish this post with this lovely collage of beautiful scenes of autumn. Wishing all of you a beautiful one! Thanks for coming by for a visit.

Ah, the paper pumpkins are really neat. I like the vintage old feel they have.

WOW that took me awhile to come back and comment Deb. I went and looked at the jars and it's been over an hour. Those darn links lol.
I didn't even realize that yesterday was the first day of fall. I'm in a fog really. Can't sleep.
Mom is now being heavily drugged : (
Not sure what the future holds, but I know that life will go on, the leaves will turn, and the snow will fly.
Happy fall my friend.

First of all, Happy Belated Birthday Debbie, and I hope you had a good day!
I just love how everyone has a different way of decorating for Fall/Halloween. Some people hate orange, so they use creams and browns. Same thing with Christmas. Some people prefer pink over red. I love it all!
You asked where I found the teeny tiny pumpkin that Miss Halloween is holding. It's actually from a Fall pick from Michaels. You wouldn't believe how many stores I went to, looking for a package of tiny pumpkins before my daughter spotted the pick!
