White Wednesday

Hi girlfriends! It's time for White Wednesday with http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/2012/03/white-wednesday-142.html I couldn't wait to share with you, this wonderful french lace I found at my local thrift shop for $2.99 with 25% off! There were 4 cards like this in the package, and 2 of them had not been opened. The lace on the top here just shows what is inside, under the delicate gray tissue. Under the tissue in the back is .............

this, beautiful delicate ivory lace!! 36 yards of it!! I couldn't believe my luck in finding it. There is just something about vintage lace that I just love!!

I can't believe I once wore this pretty lace dress. *sigh* Yup, about ten years or so ago. Matter of fact, my daughter had worn it too. What I love about it is you can wash it, and just hang to dry. No ironing requiring. The label even says do not iron. You can scrunch it in a suitcase, and no worries.

It is an ankle length, and perfect for an afternoon wedding. I love that I can dress up my dress form and admire it. Thanks for stopping by!

Cozy Home Party

Hi girlfriends! Today, I am joining in with Shannon over at http://cozyhomescenes.blogspot.com/2012/03/your-cozy-home-party-9.html for a Cozy Home Party. This is my first time participating, and I am looking forward to meeting some new people, and sharing cozy home ideas. As you can tell, I love pink! I like to decorate with pink flowers around my home. These are some peonies from my garden last year.

I love creating vignettes in my home too. Here is one I made for my bedroom. The gorgeous pink roses perfume bottle, was a gift from my daughter from sweet Lynn over at Teacupstiches.

Love this little grouping that is in my living room. Would you believe that the little teacart was found curbside? It was black, and with some spray paint, she is pretty once again. The little bird on the birdcage, I made with some vintage fabric. I hope you enjoyed stopping by. Please visit Shannon to visit the other participants. Thanks Shannon!
